BoxNexus
Secure, governed AI for trusted knowledge navigation
THINK INSIDE THE BOX.
BoxNexus helps organisations use AI safely against approved knowledge, with citation-backed answers, private deployment options, and a clear source of truth.
Working software, ready for supported pilot deployments on Windows and macOS.
From internal private AI to public-facing trusted knowledge experiences.
BoxNexus can power secure internal assistants, controlled knowledge packs, publishing assistants, brand archive explorers and institutional knowledge-navigation tools.
Why BoxNexus
AI is already inside organisations. Teams use it to summarise documents, draft communications, and analyse data. But unmanaged cloud AI use creates risk: sensitive information can enter external systems, outputs may be unreliable, and there is often no governance or auditability.
Most cloud AI systems were not designed to operate within defined organisational boundaries. They rely on global training data outside your control and cannot enforce your internal document corpus. For regulated organisations and those handling confidential information, that creates a fundamental gap: there is no enforceable internal source of truth.
Instead of banning AI or outsourcing organisational knowledge to the cloud, bring intelligence back inside. Contained. Defined. Enforceable.
Think Inside the Box.
AI your organisation can govern
BoxNexus is a private, local AI desktop product for Windows and macOS. It runs against your organisation's own controlled knowledge base rather than the public internet.
Bring AI inside your boundaries. AI becomes internal infrastructure, not an unmanaged external habit.
- Windows and macOS desktop deployment
- Local, private operation, with no mandatory cloud dependency
- Works against your approved source material
- Source-cited, source-bound answers
- Organisations can choose AI engines rather than being locked into one vendor or model ecosystem
Trusted Knowledge Packs: authorised knowledge for AI
Instead of asking a general model to improvise, BoxNexus gives the AI a bounded, approved and auditable knowledge set.
Trusted Knowledge Packs are controlled bundles of source material, rules and metadata that define what an AI system is authorised to know and cite. They make it easier to deploy AI against a clear source of truth.
Each pack can be version-controlled, signed and distributed across deployments so teams get citation-backed answers from approved sources with organisational control and auditability built in.
Useful for procedures, manuals, policy packs, and operational guidance. Instead of asking "What does the internet say?" you ask "What does our authorised corpus say?"
Consistency across teams and sites. Approved knowledge everywhere. An auditable source set. Better control than general cloud AI.
Use cases
BoxNexus supports secure knowledge navigation across internal, regulated and public-facing contexts.
For teams handling confidential documents, procedures, policy, operations and client knowledge.
For legal, property, compliance and professional-services teams that need source-bound answers.
For books, brands, cultural institutions, archives, museums, events and public audiences, including Peter Whealy's Talk to the Book case study.
For complex reports, policy themes, initiatives, briefings, stakeholders and event knowledge.
Featured public-facing example: Peter Whealy's Talk to the Book case study.
Trust by Architecture
BoxNexus is designed around three enforceable principles.
Isolation
AI runs locally. Your data remains inside your environment.
Authorised Knowledge
Only defined, approved documents are available to the system.
Source-Bound Responses
Every response is grounded in specific internal documents.
Result: predictable AI inside defined boundaries.
Deployment & Support
BoxNexus is available for Windows and macOS. Support is available by phone, email, remote screenshare, or in person.
Deployment can include local AI environment setup, dataset ingestion, Trusted Knowledge Pack creation, secure runtime configuration, and staff onboarding.
Talk to the Book is a public-facing BoxNexus use case. It turns an approved body of writing into a guided, citation-aware conversational experience for readers, audiences and clients.
The same pattern can be adapted for brands, institutions, archives, events and complex knowledge estates.
BoxNexus is available now for demos, pilots and supported deployments. Contact us to discuss your documents, users, security requirements and rollout path.
Seeking pilot partners
We are interested in design-partner conversations with organisations that need safe, governed AI over approved knowledge.
BoxNexus is a UK-built AI platform focused on governed knowledge navigation, private deployment, source-bound answers and auditable AI use in sensitive or high-value information environments.
